Wow the premiere for "The Pixar Story" was really cool, held at the Rafael theater in San Rafael.

At the after party, I got the chance to hang with the founders of the 3D animation industry and even got my photo with a few.

Check it out:

Middle: Getting Kudos from John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer for Disney/Pixar Feature Animation and Walt Disney Imagineering. (Did you know I was a Digital Media Scientist with WDI from 1999-2000?)

Pixar Story Premiere!

I have been fortunate enough to work with the folks at Disney and Pixar animation studios for the past year. The film I was working on is called "The Pixar Story", written, directed and produced by Leslie Iwerks and premiered October 6, 2007 . Here is a synopsis of the film. I receive credits and a closing title card for my contributions as "Post Production and Visual Effects Supervisor".

We've been getting great reviews and were even in the running for an academy award nomination. Check out the reviews here:

VES Awards Ceremony

2007 was the 5th annual Visual Effects Society awards ceremony. Dennis Muren was awarded the lifetime achievement award and was presented the award by George Lucas.

The VES has played a big role in my social activites for the past few years and I am inspired by the work of my colleagues so I fashioned a little montage of the event. I even photo shopped in my own award. Can you find waldo?
